Kitchen and Housewares Reviews of Fagor 6-Quart Stainless Steel Multirapid Pressure CookerCustomer Review: pressure cookers are GREAT ! Summary: 5 Stars
Absolutely delicious, bulletproof cooking. I left my girlfriend in charge once, and she neglected it ... instead of exploding (like days of yore), it simply went "phht" every so often, releasing pressure ... so it is safe !I have the largest size. When cooking for 2 people, the extra size means it takes longer to build up pressure. But also the size means we can make really large meals when needed, and less chance of blocking the vents. I am thinking of purchasing a smaller pressure-fryer as well. I believe the Kuhn-Rikon are better. I have not got one, but from all I have heard, they are the Rolls Royce of pressure cookers. (There are no kuhn rikons in Australia ... yet) However Fagor are also very very good. If you are at all thinking of getting a pressure cooker, GET ONE - they make the most delicious meals, and they are fast, healthier and safe.
Description of Fagor 6-Quart Stainless Steel Multirapid Pressure CookerThose who say you can't buy time must never have seen this pressure cooker. It cooks rice in less than seven minutes or a whole 3-pound chicken in less than 15 minutes--that's the advantage of a pressure cooker. Pressure cooking also cuts down on cooking fats and preserves the nutrients and vitamins in foods. Constructed of 18/10 stainless steel, including the lid and the basket (the basket's for gourmet steaming and is included), this cooker contains safety valves to prevent painful accidents, though it would be wise to keep young children away from the cooker when it's in use. This model comes with 50 tempting recipes to get you started and tips on how to adapt personal recipes to pressure cooking. This model is a good size for a family of four or more or for cooking larger amounts that will be frozen later. --Teresa Simanton From the Manufacturer . | | For a demonstration on how to use a pressure cooker, click on the image above. |
